Dr. Rhett Hallows was born and raised in Utah. He received his Bachelor of Science from Southern Utah University in 1998. He then went on to attend the University of Utah School of Medicine where he obtained his MD in 2003. Following medical school, he stayed on at the University of Utah where he completed his orthopedic residency in 2008. He then moved across the country to finish his training at Duke University, completing a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction while training under Drs. Michael Bolognesi, Scott Kelley, David Attarian, and Samuel Wellman. After completing fellowship, he moved back to Utah where he has been in private practice with Intermountain Healthcare, a nationally recognized healthcare system. He was actively involved in building and developing a Joint Center of Excellence with Intermountain Healthcare while in Salt Lake City. His interests include complex hip and knee replacement/reconstruction and revision surgery, hip and knee revision arthroplasty (for failed total knee and hip replacements), and computer navigated joint replacement. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Shauna, and together they have two beautiful daughters, Alex and Kiara.
