Dr. Sharkey is an internationally recognized expert and leader in the field of hip and knee replacement. He is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and a member of the prestigious Hip and Knee Societies.

Visiting orthopaedic surgeons and implant engineers routinely meet with and observe Dr. Sharkey’s innovations in surgical technique and patented implant and instrument designs. He is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery.  His research has led to hundreds of publications that have strongly influenced the practice of orthopaedic surgery.
